Ironvale Siege
★★★★★ 4.7
Ironvale Siege is the game I keep opening at night when I tell myself one more map. It's a grid-based defensive strategy where you don't just plant towers — you dig trenches, collapse bridges, and funnel enemies into kill zones you built two turns ago. The pacing is deliberate, and I love it for that.
The tech tree is generous but forces real choices. Go wide on economy and your early walls crack; rush military and you starve later. I lost three maps before I understood that scouting first changes everything. Once it clicked, the game opened up.
On a phone the UI is dense but well organized, with a smart pinch-zoom that keeps the whole board readable. Battles can run long, so it's not a bus-stop game — it wants your attention.
What we liked
- Terrain editing that genuinely changes tactics
- A tech tree that punishes greedy builds
- Readable UI even on a crowded battlefield
